Your Story- a Theory of Change?

The Theory of change is immensely useful as a way of guiding and focusing your evolution. Once you have experienced Change, you can create and publish your story and illustrate how to track not just whether you have achieved outcomes and the lessons you learned but how, why and with whom.

Same way a theory of change will describe why a particular solution to working, living, learning is impacting the outcome, your story will show how change happened for you and how others could achieve the same results, but in a more effective, impactful way, as a narrative.

In my own experience the theory of change is a narrative, a story. The most important story in your lifetime is the story you tell yourself , about yourself, when nobody is listening

How do you write your story?

It is helpful to involve a variety of success stories when you develop a book– you could include the development process, and the thinking involved, the vision that drove your journey to create an engaging narrative

A story should be:

• credible — based on previous experience and authentic insight

• achievable — showing that your calling is the source of the necessary resources to develop your solution to a certain challenge

• relatable — your readers will be involved in defining your theory of change for themselves, which builds support for developing the next stage of your readers’ story

• testable — a complete map of your journey, but not an over-complicated description of your ‘how to’ work.

After all, your story is yours, but belongs to the world.
